  • Log in  
    • Type in username (example: jaramirrez)
    • Type in stu and then your five digit password (example: stu95432)

  • First sheet: Data
    • Copy and paste data
    • Highlight column B
      • Click on 123
        • Choose 1,000 Rounded
    • Sort the data
      • Choose Data
        • Choose "Sort Range"
        • Choose "Data has header row"
        • Sort by "2010 Population"
        • Choose "Z to A"
        • Click "Sort"
    • Rename sheet "Population Data"

  • Second sheet: Line Chart
    • Highlight the data
    • Press the "Insert Chart" button
      • Check "Use row 1 as headers"
      • Choose Line chart
        • Press Insert
        • On the top right, press the arrow and choose "Move to own sheet"
    • Now the chart should be in its own sheet
    • Click Advanced edit
      • Chart Title
        • Change Chart Title to "States and Population"
      • Axis Horizontal
        • Change Axis Horizontal Title to "States"
        • Change Slant Labels to 90
      • Axis Left Vertical
        • Change Axis Left Vertical Title to "Number of People"
      • Color
        • Change Areas 2010 Population Color to blue
    • Rename sheet to "Line Chart"

  • Third sheet: Area Chart
    • Highlight the data
    • Press the "Insert Chart" button
      • Check "Use row 1 as headers"
      • Choose Area chart
        • Press Insert
        • On the top right, press the arrow and choose "Move to own sheet"
    • Now the chart should be in its own sheet
    • Click Advanced edit
      • Chart Title
        • Change Chart Title to "States and Population"
      • Axis Horizontal
        • Change Axis Horizontal Title to "States"
        • Change Slant Labels to 90
      • Axis Left Vertical
        • Change Axis Left Vertical Title to "Number of People"
      • Color
        • Change Areas 2010 Population Color to orange
    • Rename sheet to "Area Chart"

  • Fourth sheet: Column Chart
    • Highlight the data
    • Press the "Insert Chart" button
      • Check "Use row 1 as headers"
      • Choose Column chart
        • Press Insert
        • On the top right, press the arrow and choose "Move to own sheet"
    • Now the chart should be in its own sheet
    • Click Advanced edit
      • Chart Title
        • Change Chart Title to "States and Population"
      • Axis Horizontal
        • Change Axis Horizontal Title to "States"
        • Change Slant Labels to 0
      • Axis Left Vertical
        • Change Axis Left Vertical Title to "Number of People"
      • Color
        • Change Areas 2010 Population Color to red
    • Rename sheet to "Column Chart"

  • Fifth sheet: Bar Chart
    • Highlight the data
    • Press the "Insert Chart" button
      • Check "Use row 1 as headers"
      • Choose Bar chart
        • Press Insert
        • On the top right, press the arrow and choose "Move to own sheet"
    • Now the chart should be in its own sheet
    • Click Advanced edit
      • Chart Title
        • Change Chart Title to "States and Population"
      • Axis Horizontal
        • Change Axis Horizontal Title to "Number of People"
      • Axis Left Vertical
        • Change Axis Left Vertical Title to "States"
      • Color
        • Change Areas 2010 Population Color to purple
    • Rename sheet to "Bar Chart"

  • Sixth sheet: Pie Chart
    • Highlight the data
    • Press the "Insert Chart" button
      • Check "Use row 1 as headers"
      • Choose Pie chart
        • Press Insert
        • On the top right, press the arrow and choose "Move to own sheet"
    • Now the chart should be in its own sheet
    • Click Advanced edit
      • Change Chart Title to "States and Population"
    • Colors
      • Change 
        • All Other States to dark green
        •  California to maroon
        •  Texas to burnt orange
        •  New York to red
        •  Florida to blue
        •  Illinois to orange
        •  Pennsylvania to dark blue
        •  Ohio to gray
        •  Michigan to yellow
        •  Georgia to black
        •  North Carolina to powder blue
    • Rename sheet to "Pie Chart"

  • Seventh sheet: Pie Chart 3D
    • Highlight the data
    • Press the "Insert Chart" button
      • Check "Use row 1 as headers"
      • Choose Pie chart
        • Press Insert
        • On the top right, press the arrow and choose "Move to own sheet"
    • Now the chart should be in its own sheet
    • Click Advanced edit
      • Change Chart Title to "States and Population"
      • Click on 3D
      • Click on Maximize 
    • Colors
      • Change 
        • All Other States to dark green
        •  California to maroon
        •  Texas to burnt orange
        •  New York to red
        •  Florida to blue
        •  Illinois to orange
        •  Pennsylvania to dark blue
        •  Ohio to gray
        •  Michigan to yellow
        •  Georgia to black
        •  North Carolina to powder blue
    • Rename sheet to "Pie Chart 3D"
